Our guest blogger Rachel, from Civvy Street Bootcamp, has given us some tips on what to wear for the JCB Mud Run.
1 month to go – what will you wear for the JCB Mud Run?
I’ve done a few mud runs and seen some funny outfits.
The best was the bride and groom (pictured below). One of the worst was a guy dressed in beach wear, with short shorts on and pumps. Let’s just say, he lost his pumps in the first mud puddle and ended up not finishing the course!
So think wise about your outfit. Fancy dress is ace, and such a fun way to do the race, as well as raising money for charity.
But if you’re wanting a few guidelines on clothing for the mud run then here you are:
1) Long running leggings – these are good and protect your legs from scrapes and stingers.
2) Trail trainers – keep your feet on the floor, dig deep and have some grip if your running it. If it’s for fun then normal trainers are fine.
3) Gloves – I wouldn’t bother, you will loss them in the mud!
4) Fancy Dress – go for it, the crazier the better!
Have fun guys and gals.
